Hey guys, I need some help installing the newest version of the UnleashX dashboard. Right now I have V.0.37.1218A and I would like to run V0.39.0528a. First of all, I am a total noob to a lot of this stuff. I recently used Chunkheads soft mod tutorial and hard drive upgrade tutorial, and I have the FTP setup down as well, but that is about the extent of the things I can do I see people have manually updated their dashboards and I was wondering if someone could give me a few pointers how to do so, since I am unable to use the live update for UnleashX? I have the files for the new UnleashX dash but really have no idea how to go about updating. I am pretty sure I have to copy and paste the default.XBE file but do not know where my dash files are stored on my Xbox. These are the files I have: I have searched for a tut/faq that explained how to update the dash but could not find any. Please forgive my noobishness, and I will be grateful for any help or suggestions! Thank you!
The readme only has the change log unfortunately. EDIT ------ I figured out how to use the newer UnleashX dash as an application, by putting it in the "App" folder (imagine that..lol). But I still don't know how to make it my primary Dashboard. When I use it as an application, it does not detect my G: directory (where a majority of my games and all of my emus are stored). It does detect my F: directory and some of my games are stored there for some reason. Well at least I can switch back and forth between the 2 dashboards and that is fine by me, I think I jsut need to do a bit more research on the subject. It still hasn't solved my problem in the other thread that you have seen though chunkhead I must have smoked a million cigs trying to figure that one out.
