laptop doesnt charge

    i have a inspiron 600m and at first i thought it was the charger but its not because the green light on the charger turns on, but when i plug it into the laptop the light turns off. so its somethign wrong with the laptop right? my dad says its something with the power supply. i would agree and try to replace it off newegg but im not sure whats wrong. does anybody have an idea?
