Warcraft 3 hangs and crashes computer.

Hey

Warcraft 3 used to work fine on my computer. I just recently reinstalled it and after 5minutes into a game it hangs and the entire computer crashes.

I noticed that in the War3 menu with single player, bnet, etc. if i hover over the buttons, some of the graphics in the background flicker, or glitch. This is what happens in the game just before my computer crashes.

I was wondering what is the problem? I've thought of these possibilities.
-Not enough power going into the computer (when i shut down my computer, and try to turn it back on, it turns on for 2 seconds then turns off...I have to hold the power button for 3 seconds to get it working usually)
-Graphics card is a Radeon 9800 series. I installed the latest driver, still no luck
-I have a VGA splitter cord (cheap chinese ebay one) and have my LCD TV and Monitor plugged in simultaneously, any problems there?

If I can't find a solution I might just reformat.

 

What kind of Power supply do you have?

 

I'm not sure how do you check? Could power actually be the problem?

I have one output in my room and there are A LOT of things using it. Computer, tv, wii, printer fax, external hdd, battery charger, phone, modem, and afew more.

my bor used to have same problom he downlode a pach to fix it so if some can tell me how to up lode it i will

 

lil update on what i just sed my brother who was the one who told me about my other borthers broblom sed he thiks the thing he jus showd me is the pach (ps sory for bad spelling)

 

Do you think you could be a bit more percise or helpful?

Or are you just telling me a interesting fact about your brothers problem which is similar to mine?...

 

sory my brother told me about my other brother having the same poblom so he got some patch to fix it it worked soo it might fix ur porblom i think the file i fouind is that patch to fix ur problom sory but i dont know how to uplode things so if some 1 can tell me how to uplode it i will (sory for my bad spelling and if i cant be more helpful im just saying what iv been told)

 

OMFG even after I reformatted it still does it. It has to be a hardware or driver problem.
