can you change a power supply for a laptop? if so, can somebody help me find which type of psu i need for a inspiron 600m. i would run everest and find out, but i cant turn it on (thats why i need a new power supply).
Are you refering to the power brick or something internal on the laptop. If you are refering to something internal the answer would be yes but it would require you to change the motherboard. In which case you would be better suited to buy a new lappy due to costs. If your refering to the brick then it is possible to use another brick with the right power ratings but it's not advisable. That's why they make laptops the way they do, suck as much money out of your pocket as possible for the portability!
we sell a one does all 120 watt psu that does most laptops for £52 you can get much the same thing from maplins just make sure the watts are 120 cos the 80 watt is nowhere near good enough take the laptop along and ask them to try it that way if it doesn't work you don't have to buy it
