Assuming that your using .srt file and the TextSub filter;open the file and click 'styles' then under the Font heading, select 'Greek' from the drop down menu.

After you have started the TextSub filter and loaded the Greek language .srt file, click 'Styles', then select the correct language.
The displayed subs (in the preview) will change from gibberish to the correct language code.
Note that the image shown is not relevant to the Greek subs.

The installation of VobSub includes the option for VirtualDub.
If VirtualDub is not included during the VobSub installation, then 'TextSub' will not be listed as a filter in VirtualDub.

Is 'TextSub...' a listed choice in the filters list?
If it's listed, highlighted and 'OK' pressed, is the TextSub menu offered?

Can you click 'Open' and load the .srt file?

Only after the .srt file is loaded will the 'Style' button become available.
