What version of the xbox do I have?

i just bought my xbox. I am trying to find out what version I have without opening it. How do I do that? I know you can find it from the serial number.

looks like 1.5 or later.

 

The serial is not always 100% accurate so if you want to manually check it out go to http://www.xbox-scene.com/versions.php and it will walk you through the process.

 

Thats a good link, be he wants to know how to tell WITHOUT opening it, the only other method which is more accurate, is to open it.
