I've got all of the hardware ready, and I think most of the software. I'm just kind of worried I won't understand/ will misinterpret a guide to flashing my drive, and will mess up, then ahve to go through a bunch of stuff to try again. I'd prefer to have someone help me with the little stuff. Thanks.

Do I follow the same directions if my SATA port is on the motherboard and not an extra card?

After rereading the guide, I don't think I need to have the card, I can follow the guide exactly the same way, replacing the word "card" with motherboard.
EDIT: But I still have doubts considering how uneductaed I am, so I'll just wait for confirmation.

Yeah, that's the mobo I have. So it's incompatible huh, oh well.
So all I need is that card to continue with the tutorial?

Alright, got here today, damn newegg ships fas, but I guess living in the same state helps.
So you're sure that card is exactly what I need? I don't see any VIA's on the box.

You can use CpuZ to identify all the major components on your mobo and see what the chipset it uses is.
Just make sure the bin you read/copy from the benq is correct and check it in windows using that "xbox tools" program to at least see if it copied properly/looks correct before you erase/write the new bin.
I have an onboard sata and didn't need a pci card. I followed the guide, but just let dosflash16 locate the correct port and then checked in windows info to make sure it looked legit. You can probably do the same thing unless your 360 works in windows using flash32. (mine would blue screen of death me)
