Hi, i recently downloaded "autopopstation 4" and one of the apps inside it called "ISOproducer" which I have been using to rip my psx isos of the disc. So far, I have successfully ripped the tekken 3 iso off the disc and got it to work on my psp.
But, then I tried to rip the iso "duke nukem: time to kill" of the disc, but it always seems to stop and slow down when it reaches a certain point. The cd's a little bit scratched, so that might be one of the problems. I've tried all the rip speeds, yet it still always seems to stop ripping the iso at a certain point. So, I was just wondering if there was any way to fix this.
If not, could someone please recommend another program like autopopstation 4 that has ISOproducer which can rip the psx iso off the disc? I've looked all around for one but still no luck.
So any suggestions would be a great help :)

well as the disc is scratched try using another iso ripper to make the iso file and put it on a slow read speed. Personally I used the trial version of Blind Write/Blind Read to make an iso of my damaged Spyro Disc

Well, so far i've tried CloneCD and Alcohol 120% but it still slows down ripping completely at a certain point. When you used blind write/blind read, did it take long to copy the damaged your damaged spyro cd?

I just tried using blind write to rip my psx iso and it still does the same thing. How did it work for you?

all i did was set the settings to the slowest speed then did the rip. it slows right down and sometimes stops. what i did was let it run overnight and once it had started i didnt touchn the computer until it had finished. because it ran overnight it could taken anywhere between 2 - 8 hours

And how does that help CJay_bomb? Let's keep our posts helpful - no post padding w/ posting useless info to the thread.

I've tried clonecd. Does the same thing. I might try Nero. What I kinda need is a iso ripper which is really good at ripping damaged discs. Cheers anyway

Try buffing out the scratches as best you can with something non abrasive in a non circular motion.
Here's 2 you might want to try DVD Decrypter or isobuster.
If you have another drive you can rip form try that one - some are better at doing these scratched ones then others.

Hey I finally ripped the psx iso successfully off the scratched cd!!
It took me about 9 hours but it was worth it. Anyway I used Blind write to do it(thanks cb0635) but the iso I ripped off it is not in the usual winrar format. Its in this format called B61. I've tried to convert it to a psx ebbot like I usually do with "simple popstation gui" but when I go to add the B61 file in my input to start converting it doesn't recognise it or it doesn't show up in the computer when I go to browse for it. How did you do it "cb0635"?
Is that the correct type of file I should have and did I rip it right? I used the copy mode on it and I put the settings of the profile to ISO image aswell.

as long as you put the settings to iso image it should have worked. try this http://developer.berlios.de/project/showfiles.php?group_id=2138 tho i dont think it will work because its for the previous version. otherwise magic iso will work to convert to normal iso (i think). only thing is magic iso has a limit on the size in the trial (i think) ill try to find out a bit more but its been a while since i copied mine
