My sons bedroom TV has died and we're going to replace it with a small LCD one either 15 or 19".

All the TVs we've looked at, so far, have been HD ready - but, Andrew uses his TV for play his PS2 and the Wii, and I've been told that HD ready is no use for gaming.

Is this correct and is there a compromise?

Hd ready is an HD display. The only difference is that it won't have an
over the air tuner for local broadcasts. As far a games HD ready is no different than HD. On a tv that small I wouldn't worry to much about the
HD aspect (since its too small to notice the added resolution much anyway) but consider the connections that it has for hooking up his game consoles.
