Also as I have done, you don't need to have the file in zip or rar format. If left in it's .p3t extension it can be directly downloaded to the PS3 when visiting the site via PS3 internet browser. So anyone who wants your theme just has to come here to this page and dl it (as long as it is done correctly) and no more need for transfers using USB thumb drives / Memory Card unless necessary.

Info: The Christmas/GT5 Themes are not my work, I take no credit for it, I have just used them as examples. All credit goes to the respective makers.

Edit: Looks like the hosting site I am using is acting up. Although the method described works (tested myself with the above link earlier). If anyone has a suggestion for a host site that will allow .p3t extensions and hot linking please post.

hey there was trying to create an arsenal f.c theme and a english premiership football theme but i'm cack can anyone help or do one for me thanks

This is the firls time on this site and i have tried to make a dummmies guide !!!


1. Plug in ur memory card or what ever you are using to put the file onto go onto my computer and click onto what you are using (memory card mayby)and in there create a folder called PS3 in higher case and in there make another folder called THEME also in higher case.

2. Download the file you want i personally use http://ps3themes.tumblr.com/ save it straight in to the THEME folder some times when you download the theme you might need to extract it before you put it on the memory card.

3. Plug your memo card or wat ever you are using in to the ps3 go on to settings then scroll down to THEME SETTINGS then go on to set theme you should see at the top of the menu "Install" go on to it and then click on ur memo card or wat ever u are using and it should be there then you click the button "X" on it if you are that dum

Yeah, I know you made the guide for how to save the themes. I said the previous poster probably wanted a guide to learn how to MAKE themes. Who's the real, "nob?"

Back on topic, has anyone tried a Godfather theme yet? There would be plenty of icons, pictures, etc., to use. Thanks in advance.

Everytime I have asked for a tutorial on how to make them I got the how to upload question answered. Can someone please draw up an idiot proof guide on how to make a custom theme. If someone is gracious enough to do this please include what you used to edit the icons and maybe a place for noobs to start looking for icons.

I think some of the guys here said they used photoshop to work on the icons. It just has to be a specific size (but you can use any program to edit the size of the picture).

And the guy that did the Transformers theme said he got the icons from the web.

I haven't made a theme yet. Maybe I should lol.

Thats just what i was looking for because those rar files for some reason i don't understand how to get the theme from them.

Took me a while but I finally can make my own. I will try and draw up a tutorial on how to do it for those that are having a hard time. Thanks Afterdawn for the link to paint.net freeware. Thats what I use to edit my icons.
