If you are in Ireland flash with 4.50 or the UK 4.51
Both of these can be found at the bottom of my post in Eamo's Library

Me again. Right I have got a serial to usb cabel connected that to the other cable which connected to the box. i have installed the softwear for the lead. Then I downloaded the GT rom file and the Ire 4.50 bin file. When I go to run the GTROM and select the correct port 9I assume its the correct port cause all the rest fail straight away) it goes to the downloading screen stays on 0% and then says Flash update failed.
What am I doing wrong???

To see which port your USB adapter is connected to, connect your USB adapter and follow the following instructions:
1. Go to the Start Menu
2. Right click on "My Computer"
3. Select "Properties"
4. Click on the "Hardware" tab
5. Click on "Device Manager"
6. Click the + sign next to "Ports (COM & LPT)"
7. One of the listed ports should indicate which port your USB adapter is connected to (e.g. COM1, COM2, COM3, etc.)
8. Go back to your map software program that you use to transfer data and make sure it is looking at the correct port.
9. You should be able to transfer data once the correct port is selected
If you need drivers go here

Another suggestion,Did the other PC have a 9pin comport? if not try it on a PC with a 9 pin com port using a Null modem cable as several people have had probs with usb converting leads.
