no internet after resuming from standby in xp sp2

    ok im using a netgear ma111 adapter with the latest drivers (version 3.1.3.32)... been trying out way \s around the house to save on my power bill, so i decided to start keeping my pc in standby but when i resume it appears to be connected according to netgears utility but i cant browse the web untill i repair the connection. been trying to figure this out for a couple days so any help would be awesome, thanx.
