well i have a problem with my video card. yesterday i was uninstalling a bunch of useless stuff off my computer and i accidentally uninstalled one of the nvidia drivers. there were 2 of them and i thought i didnt need one so now its gone. the title was just nvidia and the other was MX/MX400, and that was my video card so i uninstalled the one that says nvidia. after that though, i couldnt play any of my games, and after i restarted my computer the resolution was suddenly at 800x600. and then i play other games it lags a lot and i cant even get to a menu without waiting awhile. even scrolling on firefox is lagging. is there a specific software or driver i am suppose to have? i still have the nvidia geforce2 mx/mx400 driver, but i dont know where to find the other one.

Those symptoms mean you have no display driver. Go to the nvidia site and download the driver again, or if you still have the CD, install it from there.

    http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_93.71_2.html

would that be the correct driver? when i go to the supported products, it has my video card listed in it. if it is the correct one, then i already have it installed. is that the display driver?

i just reinstalled it and ran the installation. it works now, it seemed like i just had to reinstall it because something went wrong the first time.

Indeed. Although one showed up in device manager, the actual driver was missing. Never mind, glad you got it sorted.
