i am running my Acer notebook on a wireless network from a wireless Belkin router downstairs and am trying to set up a p.c downstairs via a Netgear wireless network adapter. i can get the pc to find the wireless network but i cannot get it to connect. My laptop is Xp and the pc is vista so i dont know if i am missing anything out, can someone give me any pointers on where i could b going wrong ?? and could it be as i am using a diff brand of adapter ??
disconnect the modem's power & data cables, count 20 seconds then reconnect the power & data cables in that order. might have to do that with router afterwards.
