hello i have about 800 movies on dvd and i saw an advert for an external hard drive which will hold about 750 movies on it,all my movies are on one dvd as i cannot work out if i can get more than one movie onto 1 dvd and how to do it on my panasonic dvdr. do you think it would be worth getting an external drive as at the moment i am storing all my dvd`s in a big silver box and i thought i might be able to connect the hard drive to the tv? thank you.
You may wanna consider this option Philips makes DvD players like the one in this link http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882641222 That have an USB Jack on the front/face-plate /Bezel? which you can connect your External HDD to and do something like what you are saying if I understood you right ? also if you choose this option you could search the internet for the best deal hope this helps Ciao!!!! I just bought 2 more of the PHILIPS DVP5982's for $49.00 at Best Buy on black friday i got my first one at Sam's Club as BIGTOXY69 said it is $59.00.It will play Divx movies from a flash drive are a powered external hard drive but will not play Vob's through the USB port it will stutter if you try that.I currently have a 320G external hooked to one of mine that im storing Divx movies on and they look pretty decent with this player going through HDMI to a 40" Samsung LN-T4065F LCD.For the price i say pick one up and try it out.
