I was under the impression that a progressive pq was better
than an interlaced. However, after reading some of the threads
here some of them say it's the reverse.
    I have a 720p ( 50") hd tv and I wanted to set up my ps3 to 720p
    and not 1080i.Which should I set the ps3 to,1080i or 720p?
    Thanks for any help

I would recommend 720p, 1080i looks awful on my LCD however so this may be biased.

I agree with Alex, most of the time 720p native looks better than 1080i upconverted

It's easy enough to try it both ways, either way you'll only be able to get 720p on your set.
