I read from numerous sources that microsoft has started to run bans again for consoles. I have ixtreme 1.3 and was wondering if I am at risk? What i'm really confused about is that it said that it was mainly due to people running "'bad'" discs, which I'm guessing means discs that arent stealth. What is confusing is that they claim that they have ixtreme. So how can you have a non-stealth game and boot it with ixtreme to begin with?

Nowhere does it answer my question regarding how ixtreme consoles are being banned because of "bad" discs when ixtreme doesnt boot "bad" discs. If I am mistaken then please provide a link, otherwise don't respond. There is no reason for rudeness.

Hey, it's very simple. If you really want to play XBOX Live and don't want your console banned, here's the rule of thumb for you -- DON'T GO THERE WITH ANY VERSION OF HACKED FIRMWARE -- stealth, super-patched, or uber-stealth-patched! The same way as hackers can break any of Microsoft's protection, they in turn can detect it. Look at it this way, you get connected via a hi-speed internet connection that will allow M$ to download megabytes off and on your console in a matter of seconds -- they can check and double-check CRC on your firmware and ban you.

It may not happen to you the first time you go to XBL, maybe not even happen within the next week or month, but it will happen if you keep going there with a modded drive.

If you're in US, it's kinda like driving at 100mph on a freeway with a fuzzbuster. You probably won't get caught the first time you use it, but it will happen at some point if you do it every day.

THE BOTTOM LINE IS - USE MODDED 360 ON XBL AT YOUR OWN RISK. NO ONE HERE CAN GUARANTEE THAT YOU WON'T GET CAUGHT.

I understand what you are saying, but your response demonstrates complete disregard for my question. How are people being banned from xbox live as a result of not making good backups with ixtreme firmware if the game wont boot with non-stealth games in the first place?

Listen, I'm not trying to be disrespectful (if I was I apologize) all I'm trying to say is that going Live with a modded drive is a risk of being banned -- whatever the hacked firmware says. I don't think anyone here knows how exactly banning works -- whether it's because of the altered firmware, or because the game itself is patched. The only way to find out would be to ask a Microsoft programmer who actually writes the code, but as you can imagine they won't answer that question (although they may well be reading this forum).

they are getting banned because they only updated to ixtreme, they didnt start with ixtreme fw. if you would have read some of the threads, you would have seen those statements.

NO the real reson for being caught is the "Bad" backups in CRC checking. wich is the actual data counts. So these bad CRC backups are backups not done on a kreon drive. And downloaded usually.

yeah i'm the man
