I am building a new system its been about 5 years since I have done this and need some help.
    I have:
    Gigabyte GA-MA790FX-DS5
    Amd Athlon 64x2 6400 Wndsor 3.2 GHZ

What kind of video card should I use (300.00 to 450.00) to spend.
What kind of memory? And how much?
I am thinking about running Vista

Any help will be great fully appreciated
    Thanks
    Arnie

Well since your motherboard doesnt support SLi, you can go with 2x 3870 in Crossfire. That's about $500 for the cards. If you meant 300t450 for everything, then 1 single 3870 will work too, and upgrade in the future (if you want). I would suggest a 8800GT since they perform a little better, but if you wanted 2, you wouldnt be able to do SLi because you dont have a 6**i chipset on the mobo.

For the ram, this is a great deal:

4GB for 125, thats awsome. Those are on my upgrade list for Christmas :)
