Newbie looking for Hardware - Remote Control

    Hi:

    I was hoping I could get some advice and direction. I'm running a PC with Windows XP Professional. I would like to add a remote control feature to play media (DVDs mostly) -- I'm not sure what I would need to do this. I have seen some PC with remote controls but I do not know what I would need to purchase or what software I would need.

    The microsoft remote controlls are the only real ones geared towards PCs, and home media center. But I had a ATI remote that I got from an "all in wonder card" It works with out the card, I found it easy to program hotkeys on the remote from inside the software. I got really lazy and would use to luanch word.
