Huge file when saving edited AVI in VirtualDub

    I cut some at the beginning and in the end of an xvid avi in VirtualDub. When I try to save it everything looks good, until the program tells me I've run out of disk space and I'm left with a file that's 46 gig...

    What's going on?

    I was trying to save the file while in Full processing mode. I switched to Direct stream copy and everything worked smoothly!

    Full Processing Mode 'works' but you just need to specify a codec otherwise it uses no compression whatsoever.
