laser and sd media L

I measured the laser of my gamecube and it's at 137 so I tweaked it down to 106, but when I tryed to play the game I naruto 4 (ntsc-J)that I burn on a tdk mini dvd with image burn at 1 or 2 speed, it keep saying media not recognized. my gamecube is a pal version so I used force pal as my setting. so should O tweak the laser to a lower value, and how low. and does anyone know what could the problem be and how to fix it.
