I had Nero 7 ultra with my old XP PC. When I got a new Vista PC I didn't think to look for a Vista patch, I just got Nero 8 ultra. But when DVD Shrink didn't work with the new Burning ROM I finally went to look for an updated Nero 7 ultra. I installed it... but I can't find Nero Vision. There's a folder with some dll files but no exe... and nothing on any menu. Anyone know what's happened? Thanks!

Thanks for responding. That's the first downloand I got from Nero and when that didn't have Nero Vision I downloaded one from PC World that said it was Nero 7 Ultra. Both seem to be the same files right down to the byte. In add/delete programs it says it's Nero 7 ultra.

On the Nero Start menu Vision doesn't appear either on the left pull down menus. On the right DVD menu I have 8 options on the advanced user menu. Running a cursor over all the suboptions sometimes a choice appears on the left. Nero Vision doesn't appear as an option anywhere.

I should add that when I did an update of the file I got from Nero... I got 86 megs of additional stuff atop the original 170meg file. Nero Vision wasn't there either.

When you click on your Start menu in WinXP or Vista in the lower left corner and scroll through the list of installed programs (all programs) is there not one labeled Nero 7 Ultra Edition? There should be submenus under that, one of which is Photo and Video. Nerovision is under that submenu. In Nero StartSmart, there should also be a list of applications you can choose on the left side of the window. What applications are listed there? Be sure to run the Nero Clean Tool to remove all Nero versions before installing another.

In the Start > Programs menu Nero is described as Nero 7 Ultra. There's no mention of Nero Vision in any of the folders or subfolders. Nor are there any place holders for the Nero Vision manual there or in Smart Start.

Nero Vision is usually the last menu entry immediately after Nero Recode in the Photo and Video submenu. Is Nero Recode in that submenu? There must be something wrong with the install. Are you doing a custom install? Use the Nero 7 Clean Tool and uninstall Nero 7 and try reinstalling again.

Thanks for that. I don't know if it will help because in reinstalling Nero 7, I noticed that it wasn't just InCD marked NOT to be installed... but Nero Vision too!!! WTF!!! Never caught that since I just assumed it was one of those features people paid extra to get Ultra editions in the first place. What were they thinking? ROTF

Last update... When I started nero again Nero Vision wasn't on any list. But this time there was an exe in the Nero Vision folder. When I tried to start it I got an error that I still needed to purchase and upgrade!!!!! WTF. But I got it straightend out with Nero. Now if I can only get Vision to work without crashing! LOL. Maybe the update will take care of that. Thanks again to all!
