Hello, I have tried to backup some of my games before, and being a complete newbie, I used HP CD Writer to make an exact copy, I tried to do this in an audio format, and was very frustrated when it did not work. Through some experiments and many coasters I discovered the wonder of the data cd. I attempted to simply copy all of the files from the cd and place them in the blank disc. This as you must know did not turn out successful. Now, I have been doing some research here and have learned I need to download ClonyXXL and find out the type of p rotection it has. Then use that information to burn. Correct? Well I have been reading about .bin and .iso and .cue files and cannot find them. Where are these files located, or do I have to make them? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You have to make the BIN/ISOs yourself. What sheep ratings my burner and can it make 1 - 2- 1 backups
I read that forum and didn't see anything on how to create those files. How would I go about doing this. Oh yes, I am not sure what I have for a cd burner but I just bought this computer: http://www.vaio.net/models/desktops/rz/models.html I bought the PCV-RZ44G. Thank you again.

The actual name of your burner is listed in the drop-down box at the top (those numbers before the name of your burner are important too!). LiteOn dvd burners are great dvd burners and you can purchase them at a real good price. I just did my first dvd burn (data) using Nero and burned 4.5 gigs in less than 15 minutes to a DVD+RW. Next test, burn a dvd movie! Shoey
