Hi, i've just bought a Radeon HD3850 under the impression that it would run Gears of War but when i play the game it just keeps stuttering no matter what settings i use. I can run COD4 fine and the graphics are superb, this doesn't stutter but i have noticed a tiny flicker but this is very minimal. Any ideas? I'm running, a Dual Core 2 E4400, 600W Power Supply, and 2GB Ram. Can Ram have an effect, my board can handle 4GB would this make a difference?

2GB should be enough for Gears of War.
What resolution and detail settings are you using for the game?
Which 600W power supply do you use?

Try the newest ATi drivers for the card.

Jeantech PSUs aren't that bad, but there are certainly far better PSUs out there, if it's not delivering stable power it could cause issues.
Which motherboard and RAM do you have?
