Im having a tough choice so i need some advice.
    ASUS G2 Laptop:
    (The Good)
    -Picture Quality is Stunning
    -Very loud Speakers
    -Very good Cooling
    -Hardcore gamer look
    -Awesome mouse
    (The Bad)
    -Not 4 GB RAM
-Graphics are decent for a gaming laptop (ATI X1700)

    Dell XPS M1530:
    The Good:
    -8600GT M
    -Good Sound
    -Good Video
    The Bad:
    -Bad look(really bad)
    -Bad cooling
    -Expensive for what you get

PS:Is it possible to order a ASUS G2 with Nvidia 8600GT M, rather than X1700.Can it be changed later on?(I don't know much about laptops)

Can you post the specs of the two laptops?

If you want a laptop to play newer games such as Crysis, then the XPS is the way to go. Although the 8600 isnt that great of a card, it is better than the x1700.

You cannot change graphics cards in laptops. That's why desktops are far better for gaming. They're cheaper, are more powerful and way more upgradeable.

I personally think the Dell XPS laptops look quite good, but each to their own. The cooling is also perfectly acceptable on all the ones I've seen, never heard of any issues. However this was for an M1710 model.

I live in India so I can only get the M1530.

    Asus G2:
    -Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 (2.0Ghz; 667mhz w/ 4mb Cache)
    -Display: 17" WXGA+ (1440 x 900) Color Shine, AUO4087 (B170PW04 V0)

I already got myself a good PC, but I really need a Good laptop as I move around a lot. I heard that you could change the Graphics Card on the Asus G2,(ie) Tell them that i want an 8600GT instead, can this be done?

If your options are that poor, can you not import one from another country?

I don't see why not, but Asus customer support is usually pretty terrible, so best of luck finding out!
What is the screen resolution of the XPS? XPS screens were always good for offering a very high resolution for the size.

See importing ain't a problem, Indian customs are a big pain in the a**, so id rather get something for now, I totally hooked on the G2, but I dont want to regret it when i buy it.
    Max res is 1280x800

Wow that sucks, the 17" one is 1920x1200!
On that basis alone the Asus is a better deal.
