I have an Asus A8N-SLI motherboard, with a Realtek AC'97 sound card.
The problem started when i bought a New 750gb SATA HDD and installed windows xp pro sp2 on it. The Sound worked fine for a few hours on the new drive, but then i got the Blue screen. So I restarted and i had no sound. so I uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it, that didnt help. So Then I installed the audio driver from the disc that came with my Board, and now it will boot into windows and then restart and keep doing that. Can someone please help me fix this?

First try going into your bios and enabling your onboard audio, under prephials..i think...I got the same Mobo, i havent been in there in awhile

    Good luck

ps. I f you ever had a sound card in there at any time, it would have disabled your onboard
