I very confused about what psu to buy. I am a first time builder and need a little help as to what +12V means. I am also trying to buy a 8800gt and it requires 26a on the 12v rail. The power supply I am looking at is the Rosewill RP600V2-S-SL 600W SLI Ready. Would it be compatible?

    PSU:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182032
    +3.3@30A,+5V@55A,+12V1@19A,+12V2@19A,-12V@1A,+5V SB@2.5A

Also what is the -12@1a used for?

i'm sure other members would say that you should stay away from rosewill units. they are said to be crappy.

for a 8800GT, look into corsair or thermaltake units. now those are said to be reliable and very stable. you don't want to skimp on a psu.

Rosewill units will probably set your components on fire, they are useless, badly made and quite positively dangerous. Go with a Corsair HX 520W.
