computer monitor not working

    ok so today i wus using my computer and i went to lok to see how big memory ram i had and i opend the pc after i turned it off then removed the ram sticks and i replaced them carefully no craks or anything on them but now wen i turn on the computer the monitor goes from the green pwer light to the orange sleep light and i cant fix it in any way can some1 plz help me

    I am not sure about your situation, but I have seen this happen when the power supply went belly up.

    You could try reseating the RAM again, to see if that clears up the problem.

    ok i opend it back up and switched the ram sticks and it works now
    but i hope switching them wont make trouble for the computer in the future

    I am glad that it worked for you, and I doubt that it will cause trouble in the future, unless the RAM fails.

    Thanks. I have seen both PSU problems and RAM problems cause that problem.

    Well for nextime, usually when ram is set wrong depending on the motherboard you will her error beeps letting you know about your problem, its usually 2 beeps

    BIOS beep codes vary depending on which BIOS you use, so that's not really valid advice. Suffice to say if you hear more than one beep though you have issues.
