Sorry to be beating an old horse with stupid quesions, but just got MPT 3, downloaded the USB cable drivers. All good there. Installed MPT, connect the cable and post prior to this mentioned that it would see the cable and ask for drivers. It didn't and I cant get my system to recognize the cable. I've done pretty much everything that is suggested here to no avail.

Is there a way to manually install the USB cable and point my system to see the drivers?

Again, sorry to beat a dead horse.

Yes, I think the problem is the USB driver so does anyone know where can we get an USB cable driver?

yes i'm sorry to mention the same old question again. but i totally agree with all people here that having the same problem. (got the driver, installed the driver, but never seem to get the computer recognize the phone). Anybody here really think that because of the driver we download is not the good one?, or is it Motorola company just like to us about the function of the usb connection for C650?, or is just me me that think like this. Thanks in advance.....

    Hi
Did anybody get lucky with Motorola V220 Mobile Phone Tools Version 3 that Works with C650, C550 and C450, this is easy to find out if you have the Programme installed: - go to SKINS and look for the Skins and INF Files for those Mobiles, if so please copy the INF and Skin for C550 and email them to me please!

    Thanx

    Regards

    Paul

    Moving games to phones:

    Bluetooth:
Once you have a link between your computer and the phone: Simply right click on the "jar" file (game/app) you want and say Send To Bluetooth (in XP). The phone gets the file and installs it.

    Web:

If you have a web page somewhere, upload the "jar" file to this location. Send your phone an email with the link to the location of this file. Once you get the email on the phone, read, and select, "go to". File will download and install.

    Cable:

See other messages. Very touchy depending on software, drivers, etc.

Everyone comes here on their free time so sometimes it takes a while to get a response. I'd be happy to answer but I know nothing about the topic.

    Dear Vietdude,
Here is a USB driver that should work for you:
    http://216.119.70.238/Download/MotorolaUSBModemDriver.zip
But I would try MPT v3.11h first and then upgrade it and see if that works:
    http://coma.fsb.hr/motorola/files/Motorola.Mobile.PhoneTools.v3.11h.Final.Retail.rar
I did a little browsing and am most happy that there are many people who have stepped up to the plate to help others with their Moto's and it brings a smile to my face :) On another note; my little one is almost 5 months old now and starting to sleep at least 4 hours at a time finally, so I'll be able to drop in and lend some assistance as time permits again. Take care all!

    Dear Markoss,
I would suggest trying version 3.11h 1st and then updating it from within the program:
    http://coma.fsb.hr/motorola/files/Motorola.Mobile.PhoneTools.v3.11h.Final.Retail.rar
But here are also links for the 1.23c and also the 2.16b update:
    http://coma.fsb.hr/motorola/files/Motorola_MobilePhoneTools_1.23c_EN.zip
    http://coma.fsb.hr/motorola/files/mobilePhoneTools_2.16_US - update.exe
Also here is a link to a guide that should help:
    http://www.motopage.uk.tt/
Just take your time, good luck!

    Dear Tunnery,
    Download and install this:
    http://coma.fsb.hr/motorola/files/Motorola.Mobile.PhoneTools.v3.11h.Final.Retail.rar
Here is a link to a guide:
    http://www.mobile-review.com/forum2/showthread.php?t=16917
And a link to a LAME download:
    http://coma.fsb.hr/motorola/files/winLAME-rc3-full.exe
Here is also a link to a few ringtones if you dont want to make some yourself:
    http://coma.fsb.hr/motorola/files/www.v525downloads.de-4.5.2004/mp3/

    Sarg33,
Go into device manager and make sure that the program is using the USB driver located in the MPT folder, and not windows version. If it is then try shutting off and re-booting your phone while the program is trying to connect.

    ShawnP,
I would try the same thing as Sarg33 also if I were you, but here is a USB driver for your V400 located further down the page:
