Hey Billz, I understand that the directions are there, but my neokey box has a on/off switch on it. I think it is different than what you are talking about. Does the neokey you are referring to have a on/off toggle switch? Thanks for the help

One more question,I already have a neokey chip obviously, however I want to get the messiah 2. Is it possible to take out the neokey and solder in the messiah? I didnt install the neokey either and was wondering if anybody new if anyone installs them. Thanks

your better off waiting to installing the messiah.you could pay someone to solder the one wire with the neokey but most charge a unviersal price for all installs but might bend to install neokey but you still got to send it away and they have to send it back all adding up money that could be better spent on the messiah.there nothing wrong with the neokey except it won't play backup dvds.but for the money it would cost you i think that you would be much happier selling noekey and picking up messiah.

I think it's possible to unistall the neo key but you have to do how to unsolder which doesn't seem to be one of your strong suits

If anyone knows any information concerning my issue please respond. I have a dvd-r/w burner and ps2 and have been burning dvds using dvd decryptor which is an excellent program. i sucessfully ripped a dvd and played it on my all my sony dvd players although it didnt work on my ps2. How can i make it work? Do i need a modchip? Also how can i rip ps2 games using this program or another program if anyone has suggestions? What format do ps2 games need to be decrypted into? i know there dvds but i mean do i need to put them in iso or ifo ect?

Sammer you do not need a modchip to watch a DVD Movie backup. If your PS2 doesn't read it then either it doesn't like the media or the method of extraction/burning was incorrect.

For PS2 backups then you would need a modchip for the least hassle to boot them.

Thanks i took a dvd i owned and using dvd devcrypter i decrypted onto my hardrive making it an iso file. I than burned it onto a dvd-r disc. I tried playing it on my ps2 it didnt read it. It worked in my regular sony dvd player though. Do i need to change the format? What do i have to do to allow it to play in my ps2?

When i open prassi primo, it says no compatitble drive has been found, but i have a dvd burner. I think i just need to update it. Does anyone know where i can do this? Thanks.

Sammer, it is probably the media itself, not the format (-/+). If not than it is the laser in your PS2.



dvdps2, do a search on PXEngine Update.

I have Nero 5.5.10.42 and the instructions don't match. When Nero come up it askes what recorder you would like to use and what you want to burn....ex. data, music....the instructions say to use a wizard and i can't get one. There is no help menu to chose one. Any ideas? thanks

I have PS2 console with Messiah modchip and and i make PS2 DVD game copy with Nero and with DVD Decripter (without problems), but when i insert this DVD game copy in my PS2 console they don't work :( i see there only message : Insert PS2 or PS1 disk format. What i did wrong? All my CD games copys work OK.

dvdps2: when you open Nero and select file->new from the upper left a window opens and you there will be an option on the right that say "use wizard" if it doesn't then you are already in the wizard.


Silence_S: Your PS2 probably doesn't like the media you are using OR it doesn't read the format.

I am having problems with swap magic & the flip lid.

After I loaded the boot disk, then I put in the game and sometimes it loads and sometimes it doesn't.

I keep getting a problem where a lot of the games are in black & white.
any ideas?

I copied 'The Hulk' from a original ps2 disc and it wont load, same with the copy of 'dark angel'. Both of then are originals from a mate, & they still don't work after I have copied them.

That wonderfull tutorial for ps2 backups says you can copy dvd games on the fly with Nero. Is this possible? And if so, can you also do this with cd games?

i heard that Alcohol 120% was good at buring ps2 games...i have successfully burnt a cd based ps2 game using Nero...now i'm tryin to burn a dvd based ps2 game...wat should i do?

Just follow the instructions for burning the games at the beginning of the thread.

how do u find out wat version ur ps2 is?...i looked and found that da ps2 driver is 1.10 and console 39001...so wat do these mean?

I think you have a version 7. Did you get your ps2 recently?
