i ordered a cpu, but it arrived with bent pins. obviously im contacting them for a replacement, but i was wondering, if i was to try to fix it, what would be a suitable tool that would straighten up the pins? i read somewhere that a mechanical lead pencil would work, and maybe tweezers. i want to know what you guys would use.
Some very fine tweezers? But that's only if it's an old CPU you damaged. If it arrived with pins bent, send it back.
when I have repaired bent pins I have used a credit card or a blade from a stanley knife / art scalpel. The later two are better but be very careful. If it arrived bent leave it!! lol
