will this graphics card work on my mobo

i was worrying abou these two working becasue i saw that the video card runs on pci express 2.0??? what is pci express 2.0 and does my mobo have that. thanks

 

Yes it will work fine. PCI-e 16x and PCI-e 2.0 are backwards compatable, and your motherobard has PCI-e 16x.

However, if you are running a cheap power supply then dont think about running that card, or in the worst case your PSU will fail, and usually take other components with it.

What kind of PSU do you have and what are your other system specs?

and i think a offbrand 400 watt power supply ill upgrade the power suply most definately

 

Ok, i just wanted to make sure you wearent going to bottleneck the graphics card.

A Corsair HX 520 is a real reliable PSU. Other companies include OCZ, Antec, Thermaltake and Enermax.

 

shpuld i go with a 400 or 500 watt power supply. and what brand do u have in ur computer

 

I would go with a 500 watt. Just because most PSUs dont put out as much power as they say they do. (The reliable ones are usually are very close to what they say they put out, but none will put out exactly the amount they say they do.)

I currently have a Atec 500watt, and have had it for about a year with no problems. However, I dont monitor how much power my computer uses so I couldn't say how much the PSU is putting out or if its working the way it supposed to. All I know is that it hasn't caught on fire yet, like some of my previous experiences with other cheap power supplies.

Haha. Well it didnt actually catch on fire... It just puffed a big cloud of smoke out the back and my whole pc shutdown. Had to buy a new graphics card and motherboard as well as a new power supply...

 

An AOpen PSU theonejrs had did LITERALLY catch fire though.
It's vital you get a decent PSU!
