Portable 500gb hard drive

    Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me.

    I am looking for a 500gb HD that I can use to store movies on my laptop. I know there are a lot of them out there but I really need one that is USB powered and doesn't need a power supply.

    That way, I can easily plug it in and move it when I hook my laptop up to my TV.

    Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

    You can't get 500GB hard drives powered by USB.
    The only hard drives that can be powered by USB are 2.5" drives, which are only available up to 250GB (and these are very expensive).
    To get 500GB you will need a 3.5" drive, which requires a power source more capable than USB.
