Hello Chaps, i have just modded my xbox with the X-BIT 2mb flash chip and it was suprisingly easy! the only problem i have is that i need the Evox prog with the Slayer 2.5 installer. Can anyone help me get this? I have also had a 120gb hdd recently delivered but want to mess about with the retail one first.
    Any help much appreciated.
    Thanks.

hey, if you want slayers, first get mIRC. its an irc (chat) program. once you download it, install it, and make a new server: snoop.burghcom.net (if that doesn't work, try .com instead of .net). anyways, log onto the server and type #slayers as the channel you wish to join. pretty soon, a new chat room should open. when you're in this chat room, send this message: !installer <----if you did this right, it should start sending you a file. if not, then ask the people in that room how to download it. usually, if you can't get it, it's just some settings that need to be changed.

oh by the way, how is the xbit? im thinking about getting one, but before i get it i want to know all the potential risks and such. when i got my chameleon mod, it had problems, and i saw other ppl had the same probs, so if anybody knows of any existing probs with XBIT, let me know.

Ok i changed the static in the ini file to yes and tryed the same thing with no luck then. Then i tryed useing a crossover cable with out useing my router and no luck. Then i changed my INI file back to static no and rehooked every thing back up useing my router and i noticed that on all of the help pages say to use 192.168.0.3 and that was the ip i was pinging but after looking at the evox dashboard setings i noticed at differnt ip was there 192.168.0.143 when i used that ip every thing worked great =7) .. I think my router gave that ip to the xbox.. So that problem is fixed

Now i have a other question.. in the xbox c drive i have to rename the xboxdash.xbe to msxboxdash.xbe now rename the default.xbe file to xboxdash.xbe wont this mess up the xbox when you boot up with the chip off???
i havent tryed it yet wanted feed back first.

    Thank you.

It depends on what bios you use.

I use 4981.06, and it looks for evoxdash.xbe first and then some others, so I have on C-drive following xbe:s

    evoxdash.xbe (evox)
    and
    xboxdash.xbe (original)
