The HDTV that I currently have was advertised as a PC monitor before a tv so it doesn't come with the input for a cable line (you know, the one installed from the wall). So I was wondering if I could buy a VCR or something and hook it up to the tv, and then plug in the cable line into the VCR thus, enabling me to watch cable on my HDTV.

If so, what kinds of inputs and outputs should I look for on the VCR that I buy? Sorry I don't know much. Thanks in advance.

What is the brand/model number? Who is your cable provider?
