    Hi Guys,

Quick question. I play Call of Duty 4, and will be looking to play the newer games thta start coming out so I need a new video card.

I'm looking to buy a GeForce 8800, however I see so many different models Click Here to see on futureshop that I can't decide which is the way to go.

    I see:

    EVGA e-GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB PCI-Express Video Card $469
    BFG GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB PCI-Express Video Card $469
    EVGA e-GeForce 8800GTS Superclocked 640MB PCI-Express Video Card $399
XFX GeForce 8800GTS 512MB PCIE Video Card - Alpha Dog Edition - Web Only $339

Can anyone give me any explanations on the differences and any recommendations as to why I should choose the one you think I should?

Thank you so much in advance!!
    Have a wondeful holiday!

although the 512 version have less RAM. they are FAR superior with 128 Stream Proccessors, and a very high memory and clockspeed. you check reviews, and the 512 version is close to, and sometimes beating, the top end GTX, and nearing ultras aswell.

im not doubting it as a bad performer, but it holds nothing compared to the 512, or even the GT. its slower, pricier, and consumes WAY more power.

The 640MB GTS is by far the slowest of those cards. That's not to say it isn't good, but it's now hideously overpriced for how slow it is.

Gts with 512mb memory is the best, because it has a new g92 chipset. Those with 640 are overpriced, older and worse than the gts with 512mb memory.

worse than the GT in fact, let alone the new GTS.
