    I was not too upset when Blockbuster raised it price to about $25 US for 3 at a time Total Access unlimted exchange. I could see where this was possibly justified at the time. Now they are asking for $35 US for the same service. Now I'm upset and considering going back to Netflix and just renting newer tiltes occasionally from Blockbuster store.

    Is Netflix still throttling? Read their policy and it appears they now have it in writing that they give preference to those who have a lower turnover. I work at home and watch a lot of movies while working and when had Netflix gradually saw that I was not only not getting first run movies but delays in getting even older tiltes. What is the experience of those still using Netflix who also have a rapid turnaround?

    hell yes they still throttle you, around the middle of the second month it will happen, if your on the 3 at a time plan they want to limit you to around 12 total for the month. I have found a way to beat the throttling though if your interested

    Hey ZoSoIV, I'm kind of fed up with Blockbuster raising their prices again, I'd like to know how to beat the throttling when I switch back to NetFlix. Thanks.

    I just started a thread about this myself. I got the email this morning. I quickly told them to shove it. I canceled. If you go to their site they don't offer any plan over $24.99 which I was paying. How can they charge us for something you can't sign up for online-they are charging us for some program that doesn't exist. Almost begs for a class action lawsuit. God!, one time I wish I was a lawyer- nah it ain't LMAO.

    Blockbuster is bleeding money with the present situation of the free returns to the store. I will be back on Netflix after the holidays if not sooner.

    Really a pain to join, quit, rejoin etc. May just look into plans at store be it Blockbuster, Hollywood Video or whatever so can get newest titles and get lowest possible plan with Netflix for older movies that stores don't have.

    Really sucks but then don't get me started about Comcast!

    3 at a time on NetFlix is $16.99, with 17hrs of PC downloads. Not sure how that works though.

    @ZoSO

    Yeah I never got a new movie from Netflix or Blockbusted. Anyone know how long it takes to get a new release? With the quality of movies out there there's not much reason to have any plan. LOL

    Got 1 new release from FLIX, and it was broken when it arrived. I promptly sent it back and cancelled. Now I get more emails from them than I ever got in response to the ones I sent them.

    I'm still on the BB $ 20 plan but I will cancel at end of present account charge. I drive by gas stations that advertise $1 new movie rentals all over town. I've seen all the oldies I wanted to, now so I don't need to see them again from BB. If one of them will just allow a downloadable movie service that can be converted to DVD compliant file to be watched on an HD connected TV to a DVD player I'll be there. They just don't get it yet. It was ok to do CDs and cassettes and movies as long as the recording was done to TAPE, but do it digitally and now it's serious piracy. Doesn't make sense. I've thrown away all the tapes of everything I had! Everything was just replaced.

    Just a heads up to you HI-DEF folks...

    Yea, back then, piracy didn't fund terrorism...now it does...

    @goodswipe

    Hate to burst that bubble, but all of us driving automobiles at $3.50 up per gallon are financing terrorism. Piracy of cds and dvds hardy would pay for a cherry bomb in comparison. And they are sticking it to us now and playing by our rules. Oil hit $120 barrel today.

    I was being sarcastic! Actually, I wouldn't say we are funding terrorism that way. When I think of terrorist, the first thing that comes to mind is the middle east. Is that the group of terrorist you are referring to? If so, that should be the least of your worries. You do know we get our oil from other places then just the middle east?

    Canada is where we import most of our crude oil from, so maybe we should be worried about the Canadians attacking us? Most of these high prices we are paying these days comes from all the taxes and regulations that the EPA puts on oil. Maybe they need to be evaluated...

    We need to eliminate these high gas taxes and start using alternative fuels.

    Do you feel that you have been getting screwed over at the pump? Well report it.

    I canceled BB account Saturday, got all the emails and confirmations. Tuesday brought back the 3 I had and got 3 for $6 from store and thought I was through. Yesterday they sent two new movies-oh well- and today they want me back! Fat chance. Guess I'll get 2 movies free Tuesday???
