    Hi,

Merry xmas. I already own a panasonic DVD player with surround sound. All speakers plug directly into the subwoofer, as does the AC mains which powers the whole system. One single lead then cmes from the woofer into the player which powers the player and connects surround sound..

Is it possible to buy a new HDMI upscaler dvd player and plug my existing surround sound speakers into it? Rather than have to buy an HDMI upscaler with completely new surround sound system??

Any help most appreciated, would love to have HDMI set up for Xmas!

    Thanks

I would imagine that this would all work as long as your speaker setup has support for HDMI.
