Problems with subtitle on LUXDV404

I can not get any kind of subtitles on player Luxor LUXDV404 beside on original DVD-s. I will appreciate if somebody can give me advice on this matter!

 

Do you mean subs on backed up DVD's or DivX/XviD files with separate .srt subtitles.

 

Yes, I have problems with subs on DivX/Xvid files with separate srt titles.

 

I assume that the subs and video file have the same name (myvideo.avi myvideo.srt) and it's the same problem with DivX and Xvid.
If so you may have to permanently burn (hardcode)the subs to the video using the guide at Afterdawn.
