First off you need to find out what chipset you have. This will determine what Modchip you will need to buy. More then likely if you just got it then you have a D2C chipset.

But to know for sure go HERE and type in your serial number and it should tell you what chipset the Wii has and if any legs are cut or not cut.

If it is a D2C you will need to buy a D2CKey which you can read more about HERE (this is the only Modchip available at this time for D2C chipsets but others are supposed to be released soon).

If you have a DMS, D2A, D2B chupset then you have a few more options. The 2 most populer are...

Wiikey = http://www.wiikey.cn

CycloWiz = http://www.cyclopswiz.com/

There are some others plus open source ones as well.

which of those 2 or 3 would you suggest getting (wiikey, cyclowiz, wiinja deluxe)? i was noticing cyclowiz has a nice hardware disable option. im thinking that may be useful if online play detects a modchip.

Wiikey.

Do not worry of online games detecting the mod chip since it is not possible.

Wiikeym unless you have a D2C. Then I'd suggest a D2Ckey with the Flexpcb.

wiikey has been solid for me. I only had one problem at the same time that everybody else did with SMG. That was fixed by the team and an update was made available for download. I would stick with wiikey for now.

If you can, based on your Wii chipset, get a WiiKey. Absolutely!

Check this out.

Where's the party?!?

not to blame anyone...but no one actually answered one of my questions...

what does modding it allow me to do?
if its just to play backup games...then i could care less
cuz...i don't got the time ot waste downloading 3.5 gb iso files.

emulators on the other hand... ... ...

PSP -> 2.60 TA-082 + 2.71 - 1.5 + 3.03 OE-A + OE-B + OE-C + 3.52 M33 - 3.40 OE-A + 3.52 M33-4 + 3.71 M33-4 + 4.01 M33-2 w/ 1.50 k = dropped 1ft and lost my PSP permanently

You asked what mods are available and I told you told you how to find what chipset you have to figure out what modchip you need.

You sound kinda ungrateful for what information you did get.

You can run Emulators like NES/SNES/N64 play backup Game Cube games backup Wii GAMES. Plus play video files on it.

All this could have been found by doing a simple search. but instead you ask we give some information then you bitch about what information you get.
