I've copied hundreds of movies using DVD Shrink . For the last 20 or so I have problems playing them on several of my personal DVD players. Most of the time, it plays to the wraning menu or start up menu and then stops. The disc stops spinning. Other times, it stops somewhere about half or two thirds into the movie. What's up? They seem to play OK on computer or in desk top DVD players.

Maybe they just don't like the quality of the blank DVD media you used, your burning speed, your multitasking or a combination of any or all of the above.

You may have better success if you use DVD+rs and booktype them.

I am using TDK DVD+R What is booktyping? I just burned 2 movies after exiting AOL first and they both played OK in personal DVD. Does it seem likely that it was the problem?

Multitasking while burning is generally a no-no for most of us. Those with super duper computers can get away with it, or so they claim.

The TDK media is second or third rate at best. Tys or Verbs are the recommended quality media that most people here recommend.

Booktyping is some thing you have your burner do to +rs, if it is capable, to make it more like a DVD-ROM and more compatable to most players.

There are many threads on booktyping(bitsitting) on these boards that a search will reward.
