Hello, I remember that some time ago, I don't remember what exactly I did, but I've got some error of some file in Windows being replaced. After that, my computer has started working slower. I got lower fps in games. I don't know why but I suspect that it's my harddrive. I know that it's usual for csrss.exe (no it's not a virus) to have many I/O reads, but I just noticed that it can go up as high as 1 Million. I scanned for viruses, there aren't any. I checked that my harddrive isn't set to PIO mode. When I checked the Event Log, there were many errors, is that normal? Sources are Dhcp, system error, print, mrxsmb... I have a screenshot. http://img201.imageshack.us/my.php?image=pc2fg9.jpg can anyone help me please? Thanks.
Try. http://www.eventid.net And type in the event IDs of your Event Log. There might be a solution. If you think it is your hard disk then try Drive Health
if you want your pc to have better responce, trust me, back up your data, and reformat and reinstall, if this system is more than a year old, you should reformat and reinstall windows. Good Luck.

Thanks for all the responses. The system is not a year old yet, more like only 1/2. I've posted the HJ log and DriverHealth. I did try using event ID, it basically said, if you want to know more, pay us!
Clean Hijack log, congratulations! Unnecessary (deactivated) entry that can be fixed. O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file) Run System Restore, go back to a period before the problem started. Use a registry cleaning tool. Run Disc Cleanup, and Disc Defragmenter. Run this program: Start>Run, type sfc /scanonce Then reboot. Program takes about 20 minutes to run. Afterwards, let us know if your still experiencing slow operation.
uhhh, I've installed quite a few important programs, I don't know if I should run system restore. It's just, before I've played crysis at 30fps now it dropped to 20fps.
Well, I know that crysis needs a pretty damned good PC to run it without lagging. Are you sure your specs are the recommended specs? If you want, you could try Ctrl + Alt + Delete and right click the game process and set it to High Prioritywhere I believe it will allocate most of your CPU for the game. Also make sure that your GPU has updated drivers etc. If your computer is generally running slow then maybe running a memtest will detect any errors(if any). Last thing I can think of is to try running a defrag on your hard disk. Let me know if none of those helps.
I already ran a defrag, what's a memtest? Where can I find it? Yeah my PC meets the recommended requirements (E6750, 8800gts, 2GB DDR2, 500GB HD). I used to use the beta driver 169 forceware or something then I switched back to 163 or something. I also use firefox as my browser (didn't like IE). And about that "high priority thing" don't games usually have high-priorities? Thanks
