hi im hoping someone can help me please
i got 2000 wii points today
so i was going to use them but when i went to me wii shop it said
to to wii setting and update them come back to update the wii shop channel so i wen to the wii settings menu and i got a msg saying something like theres am update if you have a chipped wii it may not work after the update
so im wondering should i update the wii
if i want to use the wii points i have to as it wont let me in the shop
After you update and go back to the update section to before a "test update" you will be greeted with a message that says something to effect that if you have a modified Wii your console may be disabled or lock up. Mod Chippers owned? If you want to cancel you have to power down your system.
I'm in the same situation, the only difference is that I have 3.0u. I'm too chicken to update. Can anyone please confirm if it's ok to do so? I'd rather not to play those virtual games than brick my Wii. Please keep me posted.
