What spec PC needed to view Blu Ray/HD DVD

Just ordered myself a Pioneer BCD-S02 combo kit. Im not sure if my PC will be able to handle it though!!!! could someone advise me?

Here is my PC spec:

Windows XP media edition
Intel dual core 2.67 GHz
2gb Ram
Nvidia GeForce 640mb 8800 GTS
Mirai 22" LCD
2x 320 hard disk drives

Dude you don't have a weak computer. No where near that, you should be PERFECTLY fine.

 

are you watching your Blu Ray/HD movies on your 22" lcd or a HDTV? To get the most out of your movies I would suggest hooking an HDTV up to your video card using a DVI to HDMI cable to watch your movies. Your video card is HDCP compliant so you should have no problem watching HD movies on your comp provided the software you use to watch them is also HDCP compliant.

 

Great thanks for the advice guys. To start I will be using my PC. Got myself a DVI to HDMI cable so im going to connect my PC to my Toshiba 42" LCD. Do you think my video card will allow me to display full image on my LCD? my Toshiba LCD supports 1920x1080i.

 

Yes it should support using your TV. Your TV is basically a widescreen monitor.
