No channels

I have bought a Eurovox Max V box and cannot seem to get any channels with it. I have NTL broadband and use a splitter cable to get my television channels. I now have the cable in the eurovox box. I have done the scan numerous times and at different frequencies. Living in Clonmel. I have read a few forums before posting here but I still can't seem to sort it. Have been trying a few days now. When doing the scan, everything looks fine but then no channels. Am I perhaps doing something wrong? I would really appreciate any kind of help at all

 

Have you got digital available in your area ?

And you need the incoming cable in the RF socket

 

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I am in a digital area. I have the cable going into the RF socket and it is pure cable...as I was saying, have a brodband connection and got normal channels through this.
