Hey guys, Iam new, nice to meet all of you's. ok i managed to add subtitles to an Avi file no problems, now the problem is that its a perament subtitle which means it cant be turned off while i play the movie in my dvd player at home. Now what i wanna do is add subtitles to the avi file but then again i would like to also turn the subtitle OFF and On from my dvd player when ever i dont want to display the subtitles.. is it possible? can it be done? If your standalone player can play 'DivX' files, then it can utilize .srt format subtitles. The AVI and the subtitles would have the same name (except for the extension). E.g. myvideo.avi and myvideo.srt Both files are burned to the DVD as data files and the subs selected with the remote.
