i recently purchased a +/- dvd burner and dwld dvd shrink to rip files and nero 5.5 to burn them i tried copying a film on datawrite dvd-rw discs and could only play them on power dvd on pc..both my stand alone dvd players (samsung 907 + lg 2330) will not recognise the discs - then i tried using the blank ridata dvd +rw 4.7gb disc i got free with the burner and worked fine on my x box but still no sucess with dvd players.I assumed that dvd +rw was the media for me so yesterday i bought some packard bell +rw's only to find that the films are still playing on power dvd ok but very juddery on xbox..any ideas where im going wrong???
media, rw is best for testing the process, but is the worst for compatibility of standalones. -r media is the best for compatibility, but it varies by player. You can check compatibility at:http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers.php
