   I upgraded my inspiron 8000 notebook from ME to XP and it would not detect my 3com 10/100 combo card and that little media bar up at the top that has the volume control and dell e com button. So, i installed the drivers for these devices manually in the hopes that it would work but instead it gives me error code 10 on all three drivers. How could i fix this problem?

   moved to correct forum as not a windows issue.
   try using the win2k drivers instead from this link.
