Now i can't find it and i need it back to play my game. I needed to go to properties on the sims 2 icon on my desktop and type something like "nosound" or something so it would work and it did but i can't find it. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ummm I couldn't really understand what your getting at?

If your not running Direct X 9.0 then you can always download it, that's not a problem. Go here: http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/directx.html

From what your saying you needed to disable sound to run the game?
That sounds like a problem with your soundcard or hardware acceleration.

Go to Start>Run>Type in "dxdiag" without quotes:

-Let it collect your system info
    -Then click "Save All Information"
-Remember where you saved the file and then open it up.
-Hit Ctrl+A to select all the text and then Ctrl+C to copy it.
-Paste in a reply by pressing Ctrl+V and we'll take it from there.
