pc help

    My computer can't turn off, while the screen is blank

    the key board can't light up for num lock...etc.

    everything seems to be alright

    what happened to my computer and how can i fix it?

    moved to correct forum as not a hdtv issue.
    hold the power button for 8 to 10 seconds & power will turn off.

    It looks like some computer maintenance is in order here. Get rid of malware/spyware and viruses on your computer. Also shut down whatever junk you have running at startup, and defrag your hard drive.

    goto "all programs", select "accessories", select "system tools" then "disk defragmenter"

    yeah but my computer can't even turn on

    Not trying to be funny here , but if i were you i would take it to someone who knows what they are doing.. ( a friend or a shop)

    i 2nd that as sniper appears not to be knowledgeable in computers

    I am glad that you two said something. I had refrained earlier about saying a Computers 101 class might be in order, which it is.

    And, there is nothing wrong with that. Anyone, who has used a computer, for a long time, has gone through the 101 course.
